She is what I call a 'Natural Instinct' dog, sheep work seems to just be in her blood - very easy to train! She is an excellent paddock/drovers dog that will go all day. I have read that the original Kelpies were often used to push sheep thru gorges and to keep sheep together in a mob close to their owner. This is Browine all over. I would be lost without her in the very hilly paddocks where I struggle or can not ride my bike. She will keep the mob together and moving along with simple or even no instructions (when I am am too far away from her). She is also great for getting break away sheep back to the mob.
She is also quite handy in the yard, however I need to really 'stir' her up or command her to 'speak up' (bark) or 'push 'em' to get her to be pushy as she has such a quiet nature. She has an extremely gentle, loyal and kind temprament.
She is now 10 years old. The older she got the more worried I got that she was never going to have pups and I was never going to have more dogs from this breeding. But she finally had her first litter of pups last year!! I was over the moon she had pups!!!! See more on the pups in the next blog....
